Qualche mese fa ho avuto il piacere di conoscere Gianblu, un vero artigiano per passione, che da sempre ama la fotografia, e che focalizza la sua attenzione nella sperimentazione delle peculiarità delle istantanee, utilizzando carte pregiate per dare un valore materiale aggiunto al prodotto artistico. Da febbraio 2022 vive a Gordevio con la sua compagna Daianne, dove ha il suo studio. Partendo dall’ etimologia latina della parola “arte” (ars: abilità, talento, tecnica) si definisce “artista artigiano” ove il suo fare ed essere tale si fondono, mescolano e concretizzano in quella che Gianblu chiama “arte per tutti”.
Few months ago I had the pleasure of meeting Gianblu, a true craftsman by passion, who has always loved photography, and who focuses his attention on experimenting with the peculiarities of snapshots, using fine papers to give added material value to the artistic product. Since February 2022 he has lived in Gordevio with his partner Daianne, where he has his studio. Starting from the Latin etymology of the word “art” (ars: skill, talent, technique), he defines himself as an “artisan artist” where his doing and being such merge, mix and materialize in what Gianblu calls “art for all”.
In ogni sua opera sfida chi guarda, lo porta all’interno di un processo di apprendimento e quindi di cambiamento che si realizza attraverso l’osservazione, la sensazione e in ultimo l’azione. Ecco perché non ama identificarsi in una corrente artistica: ne attraversa alcune, ma il senso profondo e complessivo delle sue opere è il tentativo di superare la separazione fra osservazione e pensiero da una parte, sensazione e azione dall’altra. Ecco la necessità di esplorare i materiali più diversi e concretizzarne, nelle sue opere, l’accostamento. Non volendo avere un obbligo del riconoscimento per tecnica o materiali, ma ritenendosi un libero sperimentatore e ricercatore nell’arte, Gianblu ha aggiunto un cerchio alla propria firma, “come quando da piccoli ci si prende per mano senza nessun pregiudizio e si forma un cerchio, segno anche di infinito e perfezione. Ecco dunque il perché del cerchio insieme alla firma, che saranno segno di riconoscimento di Gianblu. Da qui anche la realizzazione della Scatola di 31m³, dell’Ominide in bronzo e l’installazione delle Cornici nei boschi sospese fra cielo e terra: messaggi espliciti, circostanziali che in realtà ne sottendono altri il cui senso si materializza nell’unione fra realtà e forma.
In each of his works he challenges the viewer, takes him within a process of learning and therefore of change that is achieved through observation, sensation and ultimately action. This is why he does not like to identify himself with an artistic current: he goes through some of them, but the deep and overall meaning of his works is an attempt to overcome the separation between observation and thought on the one hand, sensation and action on the other. Hence the need to explore the most diverse materials and concretize their combination in his works. Not wanting to have an obligation of recognition for technique or materials, but considering himself a free experimenter and researcher in art, Gianblu added a circle to his signature, “like when as a child you take each other by the hand without any prejudice and form a circle, also a sign of infinity and perfection. Hence the reason for the circle together with the signature, which will be a sign of recognition of Gianblu. Hence also the construction of the 31m³ Box, the bronze Hominid and the installation of the Frames in the woods suspended between heaven and earth: explicit, circumstantial messages that in reality underlie others whose meaning materializes in the union between reality and form.
Nella sua citazione: “se vivi un sogno non ti sedere”, rappresentata anche da una sedia instabile, sgangherata, o anche bruciata, non c’è un significato da cercare, ma un senso che è quello dell’agire, spingersi oltre la comfort zone.
In his quote: “if you live a dream do not sit down”, also represented by an unstable, ramshackle, or even burned chair, there is no meaning to look for, but a sense that is to act, to go beyond comfort areas.
